50th Anniversary 70s Day Celebration
Thank you to all that participated in our 50 Year Celebration and made the day so special.
The warmth, care and compassion that radiates from every child, member of staff, parent and governor is tangible from the minute you walk through the doors. We are immensely proud to be celebrating our 50th anniversary; it is an incredible legacy of achievement. As we look back at our past 50 years with so much joy, we also turn our eyes to the next 50 years. We imagine how bright that future is and the endless possibilities for our wonderful school community.
I’m sure you will all agree the children look wonderful!

Remembrance Day
At St James our whole school have been observant of a two minute silence today at 11am and hung our Remembrance Day wreaths together on the fence.
Here are two of our Year 6 children and their Special Friends in Reception Class with their wreaths.
We ask God to be close to those who are still facing danger each day, to give courage to the armed forces, and compassion to all who help others.
Lest we forget.
St Mary’s Cathedral
Two of our children were chosen to represent St James and sing as part of the choir today at St Mary’s Cathedral to celebrate the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The children performed in front of an audience of Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers and clergy.
Well done to our children who represented our St James family exceptionally.
Mini Vinnies Visit Bedewell Grange Residents
Our Mini Vinnies group meet every Wednesday in school to pray, discuss and support however they can to help make a difference in our community.
The Mini Vinnies worked with the residents at Bedewell Grange to make Remembrance Day crafts. It was such a special occasion watching the different generations enjoy each other’s company. A fabulous time was had by all.
